Caros amigos

Na próxima sexta-feira celebro o meu 5º aniversário com este maravilhoso instrumento, o Chapman Stick. Apeteceu-me por isso gravar algo verdadeiramente especial para celebrar a data.

Antonio Lauro é, na minha opinião, o mais incrível compositor de guitarra clássica: partindo da sua Venezuela natal, cruzou as pontes entre a música clássica e a popular, criando com isso algumas das mais exuberantes peças para guitarra do século XX.

No ano passado gravei um dos seus estudos (Petronilla), este ano apontei ainda mais alto ;)

Dear friends

Next Friday I'll be celebrating 5 years since I got my first Chapman Stick. Thought I might as well record something special in celebration of the date. 

Antonio Lauro is, in my opinion, the most incredible guitar composer ever: working from his native Venezuela, crossing the bridges between classical and popular music, he managed to create some of the most mesmerizing guitar pieces of the 20th century.

Last year I recorded one of his études (Petronilla) in celebration of the 4 year anniversary. This time I was aiming high ;)
